So, Happy Valentine's Day!

So much talk about having a valentine for this special day! When in reality, every day is special. And, we all have the most precious love possible available to us. Our Lord Jesus Christ waits for us every day to say "yes" to Him. Yes, we will follow His plan. Yes, we will give Him all the love and glory for all the wonderfully good things happening in our life.

So many times we don't seem to remember Who is responsible for us being here. Not only did He create us, He offers us His Unconditional Love. We,just...for whatever reason, ignore His Magnificent Gift!

So I was thinking how fortunate I've been to know His love! It certainly helps to see me through tough times as well as joyous times. If I don't necessarily have a "special someone" in this world, I always have HIM to confide in ... and I know HE cares when I'm hurting and He's smiling when I'm celebrating.

So, HE should be given all the Thanks and Praise! Those that know Him should testify to His love! Below Wynona Judd sings her heart out...

So, if there was ever a gift worth re-gifting, HE is certainly the ONE! His love in my life has made an eternal difference. No matter what my "love life" holds I know He's something I can always trust and believe in. The great thing about His Love is that He has so much to go around! It is so important that everyone that has breath receive His gift!

So, my prayer for you comes from Ephesians 3:14-19 (NIV):

"For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom His whole family in Heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being. So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

The Year for Running

Happy New Year 2011! The Start of Another Year! Time to Celebrate!

But, what does that really mean?

Many of us hope that it gives us a chance to make a new start...a starting point to put into action plans that will help us to reach certain goals. But, I thought about that today. And, you know, God gives us every morning to make a new start. We shouldn't wait until a whole year passes if we are not happy with the path we are walking in our life. Every day, we can take a step toward something better! We might even want to consider running this year!

It is important that we seek God's Will when we work toward goals. Since He has our Master Plan, He will know whether our plans will hinder His or further His along. And, His plans are always perfect!

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." ~NIV Jeremiah 29:11-13

Daily, I have to remind myself to look to Him when I am making all of my plans. If only I would remember that He has something better in mind for me, than I have in my simple little mind. Time after time, He has blessed me when I looked to Him for guidance.

One of my favorite female vocalists is Teri DeSario. Teri sings a wonderful song called "Time After Time." Somehow, I believe our Lord would be pleased if we thought of Him that way ... if we came running Home to Him, time after time. If we call on Him, He will be right by our side.

HE is Adorable!

I've noticed lately that we find an awful lot of things in this world adorable. And, we find so much to quickly exclaim the word "awesome." In doing so, we somewhat de-value the meaning of those words. When in reality, those words could significantly describe how we feel about our Lord, God and Savior if we limit when and how we use them.

GOD is AWESOME!!! And, Yes, we certainly should ADORE HIM and HIM Alone!!!

Perhaps, we might even find some other Spectacular Words to describe Him!

Don't get me wrong...I'm not saying your sweet little baby isn't adorable. Of course, they are! We are so blessed by so much because of HIM. If we can just remember to keep things in perspective and know that all HIS Creations are Adorable and Awesome!

And what better time than Christmas, when we are exchanging gifts with one another, to Acknowledge and Accept Him and HIS Gift as Lord and Savior of our life. For "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the Heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." ~James 1:17 NIV


It is right that we Adore Him at Christmas and always. CHRIST is LORD!

The Way-ting Game

As Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers sing "You take it on faith, you take it to the heart, the waiting is the hardest part." Even when your faith is strong, waiting on the Lord to answer your prayer can be difficult. However, when we realize we gain our strength from HIM, then it becomes more bearable.


Lately, it seems everything has been a waiting game. Not only that...in this fast-paced world we live in...we tend to have to first HURRY UP and then Wait.


For instance, you rush to get to the store to buy your gifts; Only to find yourself standing in a line of people checking out with their purchases. Or maybe, you have met Mr. Right. But, he isn't looking for Mrs. Right or you're not his . Perhaps, you are ready to start a new career but your health is holding you back. There are so many situations where individuals believe that they are supposed to be making progress in their life but things are not moving forward as they'd like.


It's when I find myself in one of these or similar situations that I wonder whether I'm not really playing what I call The Weighting Game.


Am I placing more weight ... more value... on things or situations that God would prefer I let Him attend to? God knows what His plan is/was for me and can do more to see that I have the joy He intends for me. It is important when I pray to always weigh in what God desires in my life.


No matter what ...if we trust Him as our Lord and Saviour, we find ourselves in The Way-ting Game. We have the Joy of knowing Him! And, this ...though truly no game at all...is the most wonderful place to be. For Jesus Christ our Lord is The Way, The Truth and The Life.


And, even when waiting is difficult, it becomes bearable because of Him! As Chris Tomlin sings, "Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord!"

Writer's ROCK

Sat down today after thinking over it all last week. But still nothing? Writer's block...so they call it. But how can that be. When I realized it had been over a year and 1/2 since I last posted, I could hardly believe it! Shouldn't I have all sorts of things to say? It's not like everything has been at a total standstill all this time. And, God knows how much I truly enjoy writing.

Then, looking over at my dresser, I see a card that I keep with a scripture typed on it. What a reminder! Seems the more and more I thought about what I wanted to say, the more frustrated I became about the writing process. God always knows what we need to hear. The scripture, Phillipians 4:5b-7 tells us "The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

God found His Way through His Word to bring me back to the reason why I am here. It's not about what I have to say! God will give me the words to write in His Own time. With Him, I never have to worry about writer's block or anything else for that matter. He's got me covered in so many ways.

"My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty Rock, my refuge. Trust in Him at all times..." Psalm 62:7-8a

So as in all things in this world, I shouldn't be frustrated if it doesn't all come together just like I imagined. For I know He is near. He is this writer' Rock.

God is the Answer

You may remember the song by England Dan and John Ford Coley, Love is the Answer. Well, there is some truth to that...God is Love after all. And, God is the Answer. You might say that I haven't told you the question yet....but I assure you, I can't imagine any situation where God isn't the answer.

When I realized that...my life did become a lot easier. I'm not saying it's trouble free. Just that when things get crazy I know I can go to Him in prayer and He will give me the strength to do whatever is needed.

Philippians 4:13 tells me "I can do everything through HIM who gives me strength."

So, when things start to go in all directions and you are not sure what you should do, consider going to HIM in prayer.
